WHEW! Thank Goodness for Three Day Weekends!

 Good Evening Parents!

We are off to a great start. But we are all exhausted! I pray that you and your family will find time to rest and relax this weekend. I do not have a lot of information this week.

For virtual students....Please make sure that you are logging in when you are at home. If you do not log-in to Microsoft teams then you are marked absent for that day. You are still responsible to make up the work. I can't always respond when you ask questions through chat in the middle of class. Unlike when we were at home, I am in class with students so I am not always in front of the computer screen. I will try and respond as soon as possible.

Parents, any time that you have questions or concerns about virtual class please feel free to reach out to me.

This week we have studied the worldview of other religions. We broke them down and looked at how they compare and contrast from each other. High School students took it a step further and researched scripture to prove or disprove certain points and aspects of each religion. They are finishing up a project comparing what the Bible says about key truths compared to what society says. They have chosen the topics themselves and as a class, we see just how much the Lord loves us by what His Word is teaching us!

God Bless and enjoy your weekend.

Our Fabulous First Full Week!

We had a great start to our year.  Not only will I get the joy of teaching the Bible, but I have also added the middle/high school drama class. Welcome to my blog drama parents! I am excited that our two seniors will have the opportunity to plan and teach. We will have some exciting announcements upcoming auditions soon.

Middle school Bible students please remember to bring your composition books and your Bible to class.

High school Bible remember your chrome books.

If your student is going to be virtual please be patient as I learn to navigate Microsoft Teams. I think that I have everyone added. Remember to create your Microsoft Team account. Instructions are on our school website. If you are not in class and do not log onto our Team meet you will be counted absent.

Parents and students, communication is key. Please email if you have any questions.

Your students will begin the journey of learning what a worldview is and how that worldview is shaped. I hope that this will spark some great conversations between you and your student. May we all dive deeper into God's word as He guides and directs us.

In Him,

Nancy Williams

LAST WEEK!!!! WE MADE IT!!!

Hello parents,

I can't believe that this is our last week of school. Never did I think that when we walked out in March that I would not be in the classroom with my students. I want to thank each of you for your support of our school. We jumped into a virtual setting and it was frustrating for all of us. Look at what we have accomplished together!!! SUCCESS!!  I have enjoyed teaching your child this year. Thank you for entrusting me with teaching them academically and leading them spiritually.
I have learned just as much from them.

Renweb has been updated. If there is a zero the assignment is missing. I will accept assignments until Thursday May 28, 2020. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Locker cleanout is this week. High school may come Tuesday and the middle school may come Wednesday or Thursday.  Laptops must be turned in on June 8 and you may pick up your yearbook at that time. Book buyback will be at a later date.

We also are opening Summer Camp June 1, 2020. Please see the school website for information.

As you jump into your summer plans may encourage and challenge you to stay in the word. Do devotions as a family. I have plenty of resources that I will be willing to share.  We look forward to coming back in the fall and are excited over the direction that Mr. Ricabal is taking our school. If you play sports we hope to see you this summer for volleyball and basketball camp!

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Blessings,
Nancy Williams

WELCOME BACK!!

Hello My Wonderful Falcon Family,

I hope that you all had a wonderful and enjoyable spring break. Can you believe that we are only a few short weeks away from being out of school for the summer? This year has flown by and it seems to have flown even faster from home.  As we roll into the last few weeks let's not lose our momentum. Parents, remind your student that this is a great time to get their grades up. I will be happy to help you any way that I can. Please don't hesitate to reach out. Most classes are giving the minimum of our normal workload. Attendance does count! Make sure that you are logging onto zoom for each of your classes. If students do not meet the attendance requirements, students will have to attend summer school. Ending our year with success is doable for every student! We know that you can do this.

Assignments for the week are posted in google classroom. Please make sure that you are attaching your assignment before you submit them.  Save your work just in case it does not go through. Google classroom does NOT save your document so if you submit without attaching then it is gone. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. When all else fails email it to me.

Zoom Update

I just realized this morning that I did not hit the publish button for this update. 😔 My apologies!

Good Monday Morning,

Once again we have some new changes for the safety of our students who are using zoom.
Your student will now need a password to get into our meeting. The link and password will be posted on google classroom. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

While Easter looks different for all of this year, the one thing that remains, is Jesus is NO longer in the grave!! We celebrate not His death, but His resurrection! The sacrifice He made for us and the wonder and awe of the fact that the grave COULD NOT hold Him! This is where our hope lies!

As I take our students through Jesus' last week on earth I will provide a video over the next 3 days that will take you on a virtual tour of the very roads that Jesus walked. I encourage you to sit with your family and take in this amazing journey that led to a hope of eternity for each one of us to be in heaven with Jesus. He is the only way, the only truth!

Improving!

Hey ya'll!

I hope that with each passing day you are getting the hang of this! I have had some hiccups but I am also learning and getting more and more comfortable everyday!

I think that classes are going really well. If I do not post anything on Google Classroom then there is no assignment. Please feel free to always reach out if you have any questions!

My prayer for each each family and student is to make the time to sit in the presence of the Savior. Grab your Bible and read, pray (I encourage using a prayer journal). Fill your home with praise music! Teachers added songs to a spotify account, GO listen to it!! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1obRSNfGPYp7ILOxSlk2lk?si=6W-LlooSRPq2wNNMb98O6w

May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!

Reach out to your friends and encourage them. Check in on them. Encourage them to keep pushing through when they feel overwhelmed or discouraged.  Pray for one another.

Zoom link will be posted in Google Classroom.
