Falling in love with Jesus

 Dear Parents and Students,

I can't believe we are well on our in our year and that the middle of October is upon us. In a time of such uncertainty in our world one thing remains the same yesterday, today and forever. JESUS!!! Praise His holy and wonderful name.

My pastor shared just this week how we eat multiple times a day to nourish our bodies. We should do the same for our spiritual bodies. How do we do this? By reading our Bibles, meditating on God's word, praying and talking to God and spending time worshipping Him. This is such a beautiful analogy. Too often I find myself busy. Busy with school, busy with the day to day errands of running a home, busy with church and the list goes on and on. Too busy to sit and read God's word and to too busy to talk to Him. No wonder I feel defeated and depleted. I want to encourage you today to sit at the feet of Jesus. Gaze into His glorious face! As we spend time with Jesus, allowing Him to fill us up, we are then prepared to face the challenges that this life brings.

Bible classes are going great. I am always floored at the depth of understanding our young people have. I am envious that they are learning these truths at such a young age.  Each class this week is studying how our worldview is shaped by our Christian worldview.  God wove His perfect will all throughout scripture. The beautiful and marvelous mystery of God should leave us longing to know Him better.

I encourage you to talk with your student about worldview. Share yours with them. Take them to God's word and show them how and why our worldview should match up to what God teaches. His perfect will is always the safest place to be.

A Cheerful Giver
