Almost Accomplished

 Good Afternoon!

I hope that this week has been wonderful for you! I am SO thankful for Friday! It has been a great week in Bible. We are still learning some fundamental concepts and vocabulary as we lay the ground work until everyone's books arrive. Until then each class has now been set up on Microsoft Teams. This is where I will upload scans of their books and assignments.  We will also continue to use Teams the remainder of the year for assignments. Parents you can grab your students IPAD and click on teams to see what has been assigned. If your student is out sick or for an appointment this is where they would look for that day's assignment. I will also upload any notes that were given in class. I am really enjoying the technology that we have. I am grateful that it will help each student in their studies.

Thank you for your continued patience as we tackle the books being on backorder. Right now it seems to be all of 6th grade who are the most affected. In the meantime we will do the best with what we have.

Pastor Flood taught an amazing lesson on the difference exalting the Lord and exalting the world. I encourage you to ask your kids to share what they are learning in chapel and to read the scriptures together. This week Pastor Flood read from Matthew 4:18-22, Ephesians 2:3-10.  Discuss as a family how you each are exalting Christ.  We all fall short of this at times.  Pastor Kyle asked two questions:

1. What is wrong with the world? SIN

2. How do we fix it? ONLY WITH JESUS!

Pastor Flood then left us with three challenges and I challenge you to join us.

1. Be someone who wants to bring good change.

2. Reflect on the message of the Gospel.

3. Focus on Christ so much that we are known as a school, community and body of believers known for living for Him.

"Within these walls (of our school and your home) change is happening!"

I hope you have an amazing week!

Blessings

Joy

We have one week under our belts.  As our students settle into the school year our halls seem to be ringing with JOY! There is a peace here.  It was exciting to have our first chapel. Each of our students this year will have a part in chapel with set up and take down. From 6th grade to our seniors.  There is something about taking part in this process that helps us to feel a part of something. We are all part of the story and we were all created to be used in that. While some will sing and preach, others will set up chairs. Each as equally important. May I ask that you join us in praying over our students this year. Pray for protection and for their hearts to be open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

All students must have a composition book for their Bible journal. I would like to transition to doing this on their Ipad but until then please make sure that your student has a composition book.

Several students are still waiting to receive their textbook. If you are having an issue finding the textbook or purchasing a copy or a digital copy please let me know ASAP.  If you purchased a digital copy your student should have received a link in their student email to download the book. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

This week in class we have learned how to study and read the Bible. I am so excited to study God's word with my students.

Again, I have an open door policy. If you have a question or concern please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to meet with you before or after school or schedule a time for a phone call.

Enjoy your weekend!

In Him,

Ready, Set, GO!!!

We are off to a great start. Middle and high school are doing great figuring out the A/B schedule. I am too!  In the first two days of school we are already learning and seeing the importance of staying grounded in the Word of God. When we pray and read the Bible there it prepares us for whatever life throws at us. This week in high school we have learned that Jesus truly is the only way.

My appeal to you as parents, PRAY! Please join us in praying for our school and our students.  Choose a day to fast and pray for us. There is power there. We feel your prayers!!

We did an introduction to worldview this week. What is a worldview, why do we have one, and how are we influenced in the shaping of our worldview. You may ask what understanding our worldview has to do with the Bible? EVERYTHING!! It reveals our heart and what we believe to be true about God.

I am very excited to dive into this journey with your student.

Please make sure that you have purchased your students textbook.  If you purchased an online textbook, please make sure to check your email or your students email for the link to download it on their Ipad.

Ipads are being distributed to the student as soon as they have a case. I recommend a glass protector as well.

The specs for the case: Ipad Air, 2020 4th Generation, 10.9'.

Have a great weekend!!!
