September 11 - September 18, 2019

Good Afternoon Parents,

I hope you all weathered the storm safe and sound. We have worked this week on getting caught up.

Elementary Music

Mark your calendars for Sept 27! This is our grandparent day chapel. Please invite grandparents or adopted grandparents, or even just someone who needs to be loved on and appreciated! Our choir kids are working really hard to make this chapel very special!!

Christmas musical auditions will be on Sept 25, 2019.  This is for 3rd - 5th grade.  Information will be sent home with your student soon.

Middle/High Choir

Choir has been working on a group project this week. Each group is working on a worship song. We are also working on a song for Chapel and will be leading worship in 2 weeks. We welcome you to join us!

7th Grade Bible

These kids are amazing. The students are settling in and we are starting to feel more comfortable with each other.  One of our students lost her Grandfather and this class has been so sweet in praying for her and her family!  We are working on memorizing our theme verse this year. Students may use a version of their choice.

Ephesians 4:2-4 "With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body, and one spirit. Just as you were called to one hope at your calling." ESV

This week we have studied Noah, Job, and Abraham. Next we will continue to look at Abraham's life.

AFTERCARE

We are having such a great time in aftercare. We are sad that Savannah Bostwich will be leaving us. Friday is her last day. Please pray for her as she moves to Florida to attend a specialty school to further her knowledge in her degree.

Next week we have a full schedule of home games on Thursday and Friday. Sept 19 -20. Parking will be FULL! We are designating 2 spots in front of the cafeteria for aftercare pick up.  Please look for the marked spaces!

Staff:
This week we introduce Mrs. Mattice.  You may be familiar with Mrs. Mattice, she has helped in aftercare for the last couple of years. This year her focus is with the middle school age students.  Mrs. Mattice enjoys her life on the farm. She enjoys her chickens and cows. She loves music and science and is a HUGE Yankees fan! ( We won't hold that against her!)

Mrs. Mattice is such an asset to our program. Her love for Jesus and life is contagious and we are so thankful she is here!
