WELCOME BACK!!!!

Welcome back to all of my students and parents!!

We have had a great week! The first week back is always the hardest. It takes a bit to get back into the swing of things.

Elementary music practiced a couple of songs for chapel and even learned a new one. In the next few weeks, we will be learning to read a basic scale of music. We will take what we learn and apply it to handbells and boom whackers.
Upper elementary pizza party winner will be announced this week.  I want to give a shout out to ALL of my elementary kids and how well they did for our Christmas concert!!! They worked really hard and you should be very proud of your students! Parents I want to thank you for getting your kids to practice and having them there to perform! Without you, we would not have a program!

Concert choir is off to a strong start. We are getting familiar with the music for our spring concert. We will spend several weeks over the next semester studying music theory.
I am so proud of all of their hard work and dedication. We had a couple of mishaps during our concert and this group kept pressing on like ROCKSTARS!!!! I am so incredibly proud of them especially Julie who handled it with such grace and perseverance!!!

The Enrichment Center of Lee County enjoyed our students coming to perform for them. It was an amazing experience.

7th grade Bible is working hard on memorizing Psalm 116!! YES, the ENTIRE chapter. We are almost to the end with only 6 more verses to go. Please check RenWeb homework for the version we are learning.  We will end this semester studying the life of Samuel and Saul. I encourage you to engage with your child as to what we are learning. There are so many valuable lessons we can look at from these two men. How we honor God and how we are disobedient.

If I am honest with you, I am ending this semester with a heavy heart for our students. Please join me in praying for them.

Aftercare has some exciting events planned over the next few months. We will be incorporating a daily unwind time. This is the time our students can tell us about their day. The high and low and we will spend time taking our struggles and praises to the Lord.
Please be aware that basketball games are underway and sometimes the parking can be crazy. Also, be prepared to come to the gym to pick your student up. We LOVE going to the gym to cheer on our FALCONS!!

We are still fundraising to purchase risers for our concerts. Thank you to all who have donated. I am humbled by your generosity. Envelopes are still in the school lobby for those who like to participate. Whether it's a $1 or $20 your donation makes a difference.

I will be holding auditions for a praise team for the Secondary Chapel on Wednesday, January 22 at 3:30 in my classroom. If your student likes to sing, do drama or plays an instrument I encourage them to audition. I am really excited to bring this team to life and watch each student grow in their gifts
and talents as they lead our school in worship.

Peace and blessing,
Nancy Williams
